KLBJ AM SPECIFIC CONTEST RULES
Weather Showcase
1. Contest Introduction.
KLBJ AM is giving ONE (1) lucky winner per month a prize – PRIZE HAS NOT BE DETERMINED IN ADVANCE. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. SEE OFFICIAL GENERAL CONTEST RULES FOR OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS THAT APPLY.
2. Contest Description.
KLBJ AM will host an online submission contest beginning June 15, 2006 (no end date has been determined.) Listeners are asked to submit their weather related photos to the KLBJ AM Weather Showcase. Each month one of a random number of entrant pictures will be selected at the monthly prize winner. Winner will be notified via telephone and email by KLBJ AM Promotions.
3. Selecting a Winner.
KLBJ AM will select the entries for posting on www.590klbj.com from the pool of all eligible entries received. The odds of winning vary depending upon the number of eligible entries received. The monthly winner will be randomly selected. Any disputes will be handled by KLBJ AM staff. ALL KLBJ AM STAFF DECISIONS ARE FINAL.
Registering for the contest does not automatically qualify you for the monthly-prize drawing. Photos must be deemed "appropriate for public viewing" before they become eligible to win the monthly prize. Photos are deemed appropriate for public viewing as the sole discretion of the KLBJ AM staff.
4. Description of Prizes.
Monthly Prize: Prizes cannot be determined in advance, prize will consist of a gift certificate for good, or goods valued at no more then $100. Total value: $TBD (US)
5. How to Enter.
Beginning June 15th 2006, eligible participants may register as follows:
A. By Website. Register online at www.590klbj.com. Click on the link entitled, 'Weather Showcase' complete the registration form and submit your photographed entry (entries that are received without a photograph will be disqualified).
6. Winner Notification.
Once per month, on or about the first day of the moth (or within the Monday-Friday period closest to the first day of the month) KLBJ AM will notify the winner by phone using the daytime phone number included in the contestant’s registration information on the date the winner is selected. Unless KLBJ AM specifies a shorter time, the winner will have 30 days to claim the prize. Prize must be claimed at the offices of Emmis Austin Radio, 8309 N IH 35. Prize will not be mailed or delivered to winner. Since notification is provided by phone, the date of the notification shall be the earlier of (i) the date on which actual communication of the award by a station representative to winner occurs or (ii) the date on which a station representative leaves a message for the winner notifying the winner of the award. Failure to claim prize by the 30 day deadline results in a forfeiture of the prize.
7. Eligibility.
Contest is open to all legal residents of the metropolitan listening area, who are 18 years of age or older. Eligible minors must have parent or legal guardian sign a release on the minor’s behalf to be eligible to receive the prize, and KLBJ AM reserves the right to refuse to award a prize to or on behalf of a minor. Employees of Emmis Communications Corporation, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and successor companies, contest sponsors, participating advertisers, employees of local broadcasting companies and immediate family members of anyone so situated are prohibited from participating in the contest. 'Immediate family members' includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents and grandchildren, whether 'in-laws,' or by current or past marriage, remarriage, adoption, co-habitation or other familial extension, and any other persons residing at the same household location, whether related or not related.
