Supects who broke into APD vehicle still on the loose

The hunt continues for two teenaged suspects that broke into an AISD police officers patrol car and stole several items, including the officer’s high-powered assault rifle. According investigators the AR-15 assault rifle stolen from Officer Jose Sandoval’s patrol car has been recovered and felony-theft charges have been filed against 19-year Michelle Lazano. Detective with APD are also seeking additional information from a juvenile suspect that aided Lazano’s break in of the patrol car parked outside Sandoval’s home. Arrest affidavits detail a laundry list of additional police weaponry taken from Sandoval’s patrol car that ranges from the officer’s taser to several rounds of ammunition.
