It's the slimy underbelly of "Debate-Mania." Online scamsters are trying to part you from your money with the promise of tickets to see the Clinton-Obama debate in person next Thursday.

Darrel Halsted with University of Texas Police it started almost as soon as word of the debate at UT broke Monday afternoon. Scammers are trying to sell tickets on eBay.

But there's one problem with that scenario that you should already know the only public offering of seating in the debate hall is the drawing for 100 seats through the Texas Democratic Party.

Halsted believes even those people won't get a printed ticket. He says if you see a ticket offer online, ignore it. It's a fraud, in every sense of the term.
