Forty Chihuahua’s are up for adoption – thanks to a Round Rock Judge’s ruling. Jan and Ken Winters will not be able to take home their over 40 Chihuahua’s and Great Dane seized by Round Rock Police. After a day of testimony on Friday, a municipal judge has ruled today that the Winters treated the dogs cruely by not providing adequate medical care. The animals will stay with the Austin Humane Society and two rescue operations that have been caring for the dogs since the seizure. The judge also ruled that the Winters will have to pay over a thousand dollars to cover the cost of housing the dogs while they were held as evidence.
