A state lawmaker says it's wrong for the state to spend tax dollars to convince taxpayers to support toll roads.
San Antonio State Representative David Leibowitz says it's not right for the state to spend your tax dollars to get you to back toll roads. He says if a school district can't promote a bond issue, then the state transportation department shouldn't be allowed to promote toll roads with taxpayers' money.
Leibowitz says says millions of dollars are spent on ad campaigns to sell the public something it doesn't need or want. He says if toll roads were such a great idea, you wouldn't need to spend tax money to convince taxpayers.
