Lakeway police arrested David Michael Torbi, also know as KXAN’s David Scott earlier summer when the popular anchor drove his car off Lakeway Drive and struck a concerte drainage ditch. Torbi told arresting officers, “I am really f***ed up and drank way too much”. Police reports also indicate Torbi was abusive towards police, both during his arrest and when he was booked into the Travis County jail and was restrained a second time. If Torbi is convicted he could be facing a 2-thousand dollar fine and an additional 6-month behind bars. His attorney's Adam Reposa says "obviously this is something my client just wants to get behind him and forget ever happened." 

 

KXAN management has not offered to comment on Torbi's DWI arrest, while he continues to work as a weekend anchor and reporter for the station.
