Way to Be Tammy Lee

What would most moms do if they find out that a man they had seen talking to their 10 year-old daughter was a sex offender of the highest level? Most of us would panic and call the police. Some of us might completely wimp out and just tell our daughters to stay away from them. But 40-year old Tammy Lee Gibson did the right thing. She sent a message straight to the offender by way of a baseball bat putting him the hospital before his arrest. William Baldwin, a 7 foot 3, convicted sex offender made several mistakes that provoked this courageous and necessary response from Ms. Gibson.

First, he failed to register as a sex offender and notify his neighbors. Second, he talked to Ms. Gibson’s 10 year old daughter. Baldwin claims, “I am not like that anymore.” If this had any grain of truth and Baldwin was indeed reformed he should know that him alone and talking with a 10-year child is wrong and risky.

Ms. Gibson did everything right. “I was thinking he would never hurt any child again.” She had every parental responsibility to defend her daughter and her community against this sick man. Unfortunately, Ms. Gibson is in jail and awaiting bail. Like me several people are supportive of her actions and many have offered to help pay her bond.  Though Detective Ed Troyer of the Sheriff’s Office disagrees.    He reports to us that Gibson is “not a soccer mom in a minivan who lost her temper. She’s been in jail before.”  And continues, “If everybody went out and beat up a sex offender, we’re going to have to stop doing notifications.” Whatever she drives, Mr. Troyer is beside the point.  Whatever she has done in the past is not the point. The point is that when she took a bat to William Baldwin she was a hero. She had the courage to do what most of us should, but wouldn’t because we are the soccer moms in the minivans who are afraid to hurt someone’s feelings or we are afraid of how we might look. What Mr. Troyer should be thinking is that if everybody went out and beat up a sex offender, we might have a lot less sex offenders. This is the point. Home run and bravo to Ms. Gibson.

And on Lisa's web site, she claims to be a Christian. What Bible do you read Lisa? You are not a Christian, IMO, but a hypocrite, condoning violence. That is something I do not think Jesus would do, do you? http://www.lisafritsch.com I'm sure you will delete this, don't want the truth to be known.

Oh, So we can just walk up to someone and beat them with a baseball bat because we view this person as a threat? I'm going to get me a baseball bat and take care of anyone I am afraid of. Thanks for condoning violence, the world will be a much better place now!

KLBJ hosts Rush Limbaugh. No wonder. Many citizens have a fundamental misunderstanding of the RSO registry and the notification laws. The only reason they are not unconstitutional is because they are civil regulations, not punishment. With enough vigilante acts the SCOTUS, like the Alaska Supreme Court did, may find them punishment and therefore unconstitutional. The irony is that the SCOTUS found Alaska's law was merely public information and after that Alaska's high court itself disagreed and found the registry is punishment. Thank you, Tammy Lee, for putting another nail in the coffin of these wrong headed laws supported by lies and misinformation. People in "real America" are starting to realize where this is really going.

I hope this trailer park bimbo gets some years for what she did. The man did nothing wrong, but yet she decided to have vigilante justice... Don't give me 'but he was a sex offender' he is a HUMAN BEING that had not broken any laws. Other than this red-neck tart saying so, has anyone proven he talked to the equally ignorant child? Please Please Please, let the next baseball bat welding person get shot in the street like a dog. She broke laws to harm this man who had already done his time. How ironic...

http://sexoffenderissues.blogspot.com/2008/10/wa-way-to-be-tammy-lee.html And yet another web site condoning violence! This is just pathetic, IMO! This women has a history of violence and assaults, it's in her record. Hell, why don't we just get rid of all laws, and have everyone fend for themselves? I am also shocked, that a radio show is letting you spout hate and condone violence like this, yes, you are a sick women!

Funny how you believe the words of a woman with a mile long criminal record, which included assaults and drug charges. "Angry Tammy's" story has no credibility. She lady is a danger to society -- a REMORSELESS AND CRAZY REPEAT OFFENDER. And if she came at me with a ball bat I would not have taken the lumps. You are obviously uneducated in regards to issues regarding Former Offenders. According to Tammy, she claims the guy talked to her once over a year ago, and nothing happened. For an entire year, nothing happened. Then she gets a flier in the mail and in a rage goes to the guy's house and attacks him. That is called ASSAULT. Book her, throw her in the slammer, she's beyond three strikes. I say keep her behind bars. And let us hope your children never land on a registry and move next door to a paranoid psychopath like Tammy Lee Gibson.

DOES SHE HAVE AN EXTRA BASEBALL BAT, CHESTER THE MOLESTER'S HOME ADDRESS AND THE TIME HE WILL BE RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL?

The sex offender was a known threat and Ms. Gibson exercised her right to self-defense of self, property and family. The charges should be dropped and she should be released.

Dear Fat Sean- If Mr. Baldwin were honestly trying to stay out of trouble, he would avoid talking to young children at all costs. Really, what was he doing talking to a 10 yr old girl all things considered?

Ignorant attitudes like yours are why our country is failing. What ever happened to the rule of law? Tammy is just lucky this guy is honestly trying to stay out of trouble. Some fat middle-aged trailer trash swinging a bat?! Just run up and choke her. Seriously! People like you are why I donate hundreds of dollars a year to the ACLU.
